Why Is Spiderman So Popular?

Spiderman is one of the most well known comic book characters, who has made a great transition from comic books to cartoons, movies, video games, action figures, and more. But why is this superhero so famous? You have to do a little research to find out why he is so popular. Stan Lee did a great job by giving us spiderman.

Peter Parker was an ordinary kid, until his parents were killed, effectively making him an orphan. He would go on to live with his aunt and uncle, who would raise them as if he were their own.

Peter has always been a humble guy. This makes him a real superhero, not a thick headed and always trying to fight hero, who we all are familiar with. Humbleness makes Peter think out situations instead of barging in looking for a fight.

While going to a laboratory with his classmates, a lone spider landed on Peter Parker and he got bitten by this radio active insect. This made him real sick and he started to mutate, luckily for him his mutation was on the inside and not a physical one. Regular people would recover after feeling sick.

Even though some people might find this a cheesy way to get powers, it is way better than other super heroes who are born with theirs or have powers but it is never explained how he or she got those powers in the first place.

The great things about spiderman is that he does not let his super power fame rise to his head. He stays humble and knows that “with great power comes great responsibility”. This makes him so real and so believable with the audience, because having power or influence is a huge responsibility whether people like it or not.

One of the more important powers that spiderman possesses is not his agility, even though that helps a whole lot. What I am talking about is his spider senses. Everytime danger is nearby, Peter Parker gets an internal alert that makes him aware of his surroundings.

Peter Parker his boss Jameson makes Parker’s life harder than it needs to be. He always wants to have the best pictures of spiderman, but actually hates him. But because the pictures bring in so much money for the company, he constantly wants new ones.

Finally, Spider-Man has a number of different of intriguing enemies. The Green Goblin, Hobgoblin, Dr. Octopus, and of course Venom, make up some of the most popular antagonists in the comic book world. These “bad guys”, and their opposition to Spiderman, help to make Spider-Man, one of the most popular superheroes out there.
