The Beatles Remastered Stereo CD Box Set
The Beatles in Stereo Remastered Box Set was made available in September of ’09 it instantly became the ultimate standard for The Beatles catalog.
These remastered mixes sound far better than the old CDs from the late’80s. When when I compare the remastered CDs to the older discs it’s like the older CDs are under a pile of old blankets while the new discs sound crystal clear so that all of the vocals, guitar parts, bass guitar parts, and drums punch through the mixes like never before.
The Beatles in Stereo Remastered CD Set isn’t the only box set by The Beatles that came out in September of ’09 but it is the most popular because it appeals to the widest range of Beatles fans. The Beatles in Mono Box Set is amazing too but it appeals mostly to Beatles purists who need to listen to the mono mixes (and compare them to the stereo mixes) than to the average Beatles fan. Although there are definitely songs that sound better in mono than in stereo (especially many of the pre’68 songs in my opinion) all things considered I believe the stereo set does sound best.
The wonderful thing about The Beatles in Stereo Box Set is that it lets you to get The Beatles complete’60s discography with just one purchase and when one considers the high quality of almost all of their CDs, it makes sense to purchase al of the albums at one time rather than buying some.
Along with the great genre defining music included in this box set there are some awesome visual bits, most obviously the DVD with- mini documentaries on it (one for each studio album.) Along with this 50 minute DVD there are extensive liner notes for every CD (there is some interesting information in there, especially for new fans) and some interesting previously unpublished pictures.
I am such a huge Beatles fan that I have ordered (or I plan on getting) The Beatles Stereo Set, The Beatles in Mono Box, The Beatles Apple USB Stick, and The Beatles Rock Band. But if I had to choose only one of these things, it would be the stereo set because it is the best way to hear their music and after all, it is their classic songs that is the most important.
David Quincy Jackson believes that you should Buy The Beatles in Stereo Box Set because it sounds amazing. He also strongly recommends picking up The Beatles Mono Box Set for a complete Beatles collection.
