It was also handed out for free to celebrities for creating buzz for this handset and the associated brand. It has already sold out over a million units. Endorsements which are done by celebrities are extremely beneficial to the manufacturers of the cell phones and for this reason these companies shell out these handsets for free.
Although it might be true that celebrities can really get any cell phone that they like for free, but a particular preference or liking is definitely exhibited.
