Netflix vs Blockbuster – The Decision
It is important for the inventory of DVD’s to be substantial and that the inventory be diverse as possible. But both companies are also really good at this and at very little or no wait time on most of the movies, even some of the most popular releases. This is sometimes due to the companies (Netflix vs Blockbuster)working out a way with the studios to ensure that they can burn their own DVD’s to meet customer demand.
Since Blu-Ray seems to be all the rage right now, Netflix vs Blockbuster is even more of an issue as to who will win. Each one of the companies (Netflix vs Blockbuster )stock very good selections of Blu-Ray titles and they do a good job of keeping up with the new releases. Blockbuster doesn’t do such a good job with the Blu-Ray movies available for delivery and most of the time marks these movies as short, long or very long waits. Netflix does a little better in this aspect but still has some delays. So for Blu-Ray fans, it is probably the easiest to get Blu-Ray through Netflix.
With shipping center being 76+, Netflix is winning out over Blockbuster since that is Netflix main focus and Blockbuster focuses on the stores. Netflix vs Blockbuster can get kinda interesting at this point because of the fact that Blockbuster has hundreds of stores nationally and can be accessed with the Total Access plan they offer. Both of the companies get DVD’s to their customers within one day if you are within close proximity to a major or medium sized city.
With Blockbuster trying to downsize the their brick and mortar business, Netflix does have kind of an advantage over their competitor in the way of speed and reliability. Sometimes this advantage may differ depending on your geo location and Netflix is better at the shipping aspect of customer service with the DVD’s. So we are getting close to our Netflix vs Blockbuster decision.
Netflix vs Blockbuster when it comes to pricing is pretty much the same although the Total Access plan offered by Blockbuster allows you to take the DVD’s right to the store to return them for free in store DVD’s. Netflix does have a plan that allows up to 8 DVD’s out at a time and allows for unlimited streaming for any of the plans. This alone may allow you to make a decision since there are many people out there who like just to do the online streaming.
