Many people grew up doodling on pieces of paper, some imagining that they would grow to be great artists. Many artistic people go on to become audio engineering workers or film and television engineers but never give up their love for the world of artwork, no matter the medium. In today’s high tech world, some of the people who liked to draw have learned how to make digital art with a computer and find it very satisfying and creative.

A child’s homemade drawing, a photograph or print could each be scanned through a regular scanner into a home computer and run through a software program to make it into something of a beautiful piece of artwork. There are many different ways to widen or shorten a picture so that the colors are running together or separated and this will change the entire look of a photo, giving an individual a new piece of artwork.
Many people like to experiment with the computer and different prints or photographs because they don’t get messy like with acrylic paints, colored pencils or oils. The computer is also more forgiving then a canvas style piece of artwork. If someone makes a mistake or does something on the computer monitor they are not happy with, they can go over it or erase it without a big production.
When a person wants to learn about the computer world of digital art or how to make digital art for fun and profit, they could attend photography schools in Canada or one online. For either type of photography school, there is financial aide or grants available to qualified students to help pay for this type of education. Some of these courses will help a graduate find a job in the field that works with computers and art.
